child involved will be asked to leave. Please help make this a positive event. Thank you in advance for your cooperation; we look forward to seeing you.

Tournament:

  • There will be a $10 entry fee for all spectators. Children 10 and under are free.
  • Each team may have 1 coach that will not require an entry fee.
  • We will have a photographer in attendance taking action shots! Please let us know if you would not like your athlete to be posted on our instagram or facebook account.
  • Players may only play on 1 team per division.
  • Players and teams may play in multiple divisions.
  • This is a 1 day event.
  • All fees must be paid before playing in the tournament.

Pre Game:

  1. Each team may have up to 5 players on a roster
  2. All games may start and be completed with any number of players (3,2,1).
  3. Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled game time.
  4. Team captains will meet with the ref to do a coin toss or rock, paper, scissors to decide who will receive possession of the ball to start. The same thing will happen at the beginning of a sudden death.

Officials:

There will be 1 official on the court.

Please be respectful to our officials. Their calls are final and may not be reviewed.

If a player receives a technical foul at any time that player will be asked to take a seat for 2 minutes. If they receive a second technical foul they will not be able to finish that game.

However they may play in the next game.

A technical foul is any vulgar or verbally abusive behavior. Any foul deemed to hurt or injure a player.

If a punch is thrown that player will be disqualified from the tournament and may not return to a game.

Game Rules:

  • Speed Ball! This means that players fouled on shooting fouls will be given 1 point and the ball back. If the player is fouled on a 3 pointer they will be given 2 points and the ball back.
  • If a player is fouled on a shot that would end the game they will not be awarded the point. They must shoot a free throw to end the game. If the free throw is missed the ball will go to the offense, if it is made the game is over.
  • If a player is fouled on a shot and makes the basket they will get the chance to shoot 1 free throw. If the player is fouled on a 3 pointer and makes it they will receive 2 points and 1 free throw attempt. If the free throw is made the ball will go to the defense. If it is missed the ball will go to the offense.
  • Players must PASS the ball into play, players may NOT dribble after the checked ball until the ball has been passed in. Defense must give the inbounder space to inbound the ball and may not crowd the inbounder after the check ball.
  • Games will be played to 11 or 15 minutes (whichever comes first) for the 8U division. Games will be played to 15 or 15 minutes for the 10U division. Games will be played to 21 or 20 minutes for the 12U, 7/8th grade, and high school divisions. There is no win by 2. If the game is tied at the end of the time limit there will be a 2 minute overtime. If either team gets the number of points necessary to win the game is over. If the game is still tied after the 2 minute overtime there will be another rock, paper, scissors for ball and whoever scores first wins
  • Jump balls will go with the possession arrow.
  • The clock will stop in the last minute of the game.
  • Each team will have 2 one minute time outs per game. If the game goes into overtime teams will receive another 1 minute time out,
  • The ball must be taken back (cleared) past the 3 point line on every change of possession. “Taking back” means both feet must clear the 3 point line.
  • After the ball is scored the scoring team will go to defense. The ball does not have to be checked up top but must be cleared past the 3 point line before put into play. The defense (team that just scored) may steal the ball as it is being cleared, however they must allow the offense to gain possession and take a dribble before attempting to steal it. If they do steal the ball that team must clear the ball before a made basket.
  • Off ball fouls or non shooting fouls will result in a check ball up top
  • After the 6th fouls the opposing team will receive 1pt and the ball goes to the team that fouled. After the 10th foul the opposing team will receive 1-pt and possession of the ball.

Please feel free to call, text, or email me if you have any questions! This is meant to be a fun, competitive, and safe environment.

Cheers,

General Butler
